2023-2024 officers
President - Michael Pare, OTC
Mike graduated from the Orthopaedic Technologist program at Southern Crescent Technical College in 2011 with an A.A degree. He was certified as an OTC in 2012.
Mike worked for Resurgens Orthopaedics and Perimeter Orthopaedics, before settling in a Kaiser Permanente. At Perimeter Orthopaedics, he worked with total ankle patients and wound care patients and became proficient in the total contact casting. Mike worked with sports doctors mostly with lower extremity knees, hips foot and ankle before settling in with foot and ankle. Mike now works with diabetic patients with wound care and fracture care. I have served on the NBCOT board since 2014 as a director and secretary.
Vice President - Amy Dahl, OTC
Amy graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1992 with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a focus in athletic training. She moved to Georgia and worked as an athletic trainer in a high school and was certified as an Orthopedic Technologists in 1995.
Amy joined Peachtree Orthopedics in 1995 and worked with a total joint specialist in the office and OR for 19 years. She is a clinical manager and serves on several NBCOT committees.
Secretary - Crystal Folds, OTC
Crystal graduated from Southern Crescent Technical College in August of 2014. She earned her Associate of Applied Science Degree, majoring in Orthopaedic Technology. She was an Honor Graduate with distinction, ranking #1 in her class. She became a certified Orthopedic Technologist through the National Board for Certification of Orthopedic Technology, Inc in November of 2014.
She has been working as an OTC at Piedmont Orthopedics by OrthoAtlanta since August of 2014. She is certified in BLS CPR. She enjoys working with the physicians to provide top quality care to patients that have orthopedic injuries or diseases. She is the lead OTC/MA for Dr. Todd Schmidt. She lives in Fayetteville, GA with her husband and four children. She is active in her community. She volunteers at the local schools and enjoys working with her church as well. She enjoys swimming, cooking and spending time with her family.
Treasurer - David Payne, IV ATC, OTC
David is an ATC and OTC.
